The city of Cusco was considered the capital of the Inca Empire with countless historical and architectural legacy. It is surrounded by green valleys and impressive attractions, with its culture and traditions, it is also known as the navel of the world.

Day 2) – City Tour – Sacsayhuaman and Golden Temple.

This morning we will explore a local archaeological site called Sacsayhuaman, a fortress formed by huge terraced stone walls. The complex was built by the Incas in the 15th century. * Qorikancha was the most important temple of the Inca Empire known as the temple of the sun, a sacred religious center where appreciation was shown for Inti, the Inca Sun God.

Day 3) – Sacred Valley Tour – Town of Pisac.

Drive through the majestic Sacred Valley to visit Pisac and the Open Air Markets, which is the most popular destination in the heart of the Andes for its scenic beauty and shopping for arts and crafts, a small Andean community that still maintains its traditional ways of life.
Return to Cuzco.

Day 4) – Cusco – Aguas Calientes.
Breakfast.
Early morning pick up (1 hour and 45 minutes transfer), drive through the Sacred Valley of the Incas to Ollantaytambo station to take the train to Aguas Calientes, enjoying the local scenery and activity along the train tracks (1 hour and 45 minutes train ride). Aguas Calientes, also known as Machu Picchu Pueblo (6,692 feet), this town lies in a deep gorge below the ruins of Machu Picchu, isolated from all roads and surrounded by stone cliffs, towering cloud forests and rushing rivers, where you will spend the night. Optional upon arrival, settle into your hotel and enjoy free time strolling through local handicraft markets, hot springs and botanical gardens. Q&A briefing with guide and accommodation at the base of the mystical mountain.

Day 5) – MachuPicchu – Cuzco.

Take the bus to MachuPicchu (20 minutes by bus) (7,972 feet) “The Lost City” Your guide will give you information about the main aspects of this sacred site. Discover the riches of the Inca Empire with a fascinating and stimulating tour. Free time to investigate the mystical phenomenon of Machupicchu. Walk the main circuits of the site, including several stops for breathtaking views and photo opportunities. Return to Aguas Calientes by bus before taking the afternoon train back to Ollantaytambo/transfer to Cusco.

Day 6) – Cusco – Free Day.
